A boy who tried to levitate and found he could would have an easier time doing it again in the future. However, the mass of rational people who know levitation is impossible would impose that view on the boy, and soon he would find he could no longer levitate. In fact, he would eventually come to realise he had never levitated in the first place, that it had all simply been in his head.

Sanity, Rationality & Levitation
I dare to say people who are sane live irrelevant lives. They don't rock the boat: they question things but not fundamentally. They don't believe in the irrational, as if this life is totally rational, as if TV and the Internet or the economy or love are rational.

Monopoly Money
It is not a conspiracy that an earlier aristocracy created a monopoly currency for their own benefit and that we still use that currency today.
If we are going to survive, we are going to need to adopt at least one more currency, one that parishes with resources and wares, and encourages spending and recirculation through the local economy, rather than being sucked out of the community by some distant central banking system, which is what is happening with our current currency. We need the balance of multiple currencies, lest we fall into a corporate funded plague of individuals with no community.

Quoting Life Inc.: How the World Became a Corporation and How to Take it Back by Douglas Rushkoff, page 171:
"To this day, the bias of centralized currency is toward scarcity and hoarding. This slows down the rate at which money circulates, while concentrating wealth at the top. Instead of encouraging cooperation and community, it promotes competition and individuality."

Social Darwinism
I just read an article in the Georgia Straight newspaper with Tim Flannery, who has been called the "rock star of modern science."
The article states "Charles Darwin's theory of evolution has been perverted by right-wing, free-market thinkers to suggest that people are inherently selfish." Whereas, the truth is that "Interconnectedness and interdependence mean that human beings prosper by working cooperatively."
It also goes on to state that in part "social Darwinism gave rise to everything from Nazis to eugenics to neoclassical economics . . . It gave rise to a whole lot of very negative, right-wing perceptions, which are in part justified on this belief, this mistaken belief."
Darwin's theories are in reference to the biology of all species, not sociologically within a specific species. Social survival of the fittest is a perversion of Darwin's thoughts. We are designed to work together.
I've felt this for some time, but it's nice to have it validated by a scientist because scientists are the new priesthood; science is the new religion. Apparently science is where our values are coming from today. The black robe has been traded in for the white lab coat.

Day of Judgement 21 May 2011
"Beyond the shadow of a doubt, May 21 will be the date of the Rapture and the day of judgment," he said. [Harold Camping]
The doctrine known as the Rapture teaches that believers will be taken up to heaven, while everyone else will remain on earth for a period of torment, concluding with the end of time. Camping believes that will happen in October.

Harold Camping is a wing-nut. Not even Jesus Christ himself knows when the rapture will be. Only God knows.
What does this Rapture mean then?
To me this means on 21 May those who believe will be in heaven, and those who don't won't. We will both exist in the same physical world, and nothing will appear to have changed, but all will have changed. I believe by October we will have reached the tipping point, a critical mass, where there are enough souls who believe and have faith to co-create Heaven on earth together.

We will of course have to pass through what some might call Hell. Simultaneously, while some are experiencing the grace of God, others will be experiencing the most hellish nightmare. It all comes down to a simple shift in consciousness.
Edit 28 April 2012:
So here we are. It has happened. Many folks are oblivious, but it's okay. Enough souls have moved through, and here we are. We have passed the tipping point and are now co-creating Heaven on Earth.

Murder
Osama bin Laden has ostensibly been killed. It is a time of sadness and sorrow, not a time to celebrate. When someone like that is killed, much like Hitler, we ought to bow our heads and remember that murder and terrorism are wrong. It is contestable whether bin Laden's murder was necessary, but it is not something to celebrate. Murder ought never be celebrated.

Voting
While voting doesn't necessarily change things directly (although it can), it does change things internally. I voted NDP for Libby Davies because most of the people I know voted for her. These people all know my views about communism and anarchism, and that still didn't change their views, if you can believe that. So, if I'm going to say I am a communist anarchist, then the right thing for me to do is, in my own enlightened self-interest, vote with the conscience of my community.
The only way revolution is going to happen is for it to be happening simultaneously inside each of our individual selves. This vote was a revolutionary step for me, in the moment. Revolution can not be legislated from any outside authority, and while it must happen internally, it must also reach social proportions.
I believe this all speaks to the coincidence that, while a revolution was going on inside me, the NDP has become the new opposition for the government of Canada. You know I don't believe in coincidence, or if I do, coincidence is simply God's way of staying anonymous. There is absolute synchronicity in my life: revolutions is going on inside me and in the world, simultaneously. It is a very exciting time!

Powell Street Angel
I was walking down Powell Street with my son Jackson, when an elderly gentleman passing by said, "I see you got an angel."
"Yes I do," I said, "an angel."
"An angel of God," He says.
"That's right," I reply.
He tells me, "I see God in your eyes."
"Thank you," is all that is left to say.
What is this exchange worth? In the capitalist society I currently live in it is worth nothing, zero, zilch, chalked up to the ramblings of an old coot. But in Jimmy the Bitch's utopia this exchange is priceless. My heart becomes filled. I then pass on what was freely given to me, and the more I give the more my heart overflows, as I'm sure the old man's heart was overflowing when he gave it to me. It is a gift that is ever growing and expanding but is still worthless to capitalists. Yet capitalism continues to flourish, consuming all, ever depleting everything, mostly our souls. Why?
Ideological hegemony. Those who control the means of production also control the media, and through it they have manipulated the masses into believing that our resources and the means of making products out of them should be controlled by the few who struggle to the top and are smart enough to be able to handle this control and that of course the masses cannot handle this toilsome burden. We believe life is scarcity and turmoil because that is what we've been sold, but it's not true. We live in abundance.
With all the earnestness at my command I beg of you let go of everything you think you know. Put your prejudices on the shelf, and allow the grace of abundance to enter you. This life is not about everyone for themselves. We were designed to share and commune with each other.
